Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our Sterile Processing Department. This is a full-time night shift role (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., Monday–Friday) that supports surgical services by ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and ready for patient care.

Requirements include 1–2 years instrument experience, 1–2 years surgical instrumentation experience, and a High School Diploma; a $1,000

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience.
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, and wrap instrument trays and linen for sterilization.
• Select appropriate supplies and sterilization methods.
• Operate sterilization equipment while following established protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterilization principles and best practices.
• Prioritize workload while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
