The County of Riverside is seeking a Temporary Sterile Processing Technician I to support Riverside University Health System, Medical Center, in Moreno Valley. Under supervision, you will clean, sterilize, prepare, and issue medical instruments, equipment and supplies; perform minor maintenance and repairs on medical equipment; and perform other related duties as required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with CA Certificate of Proficiency or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in sterile processing or related role.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, cleaning, and sterilization methods.
• Ability to follow directions, work with others, and maintain simple records.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, test, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Assemble instruments and supplies for surgery; package and label according to sterilization protocol; sterilize and aerate when required.
• Manage inventory and distribute sterilized supplies; verify requisitions and maintain stock levels.
• Maintain equipment tracking records and logs using computer or barcode tools; run reports.
• Keep processing areas clean and orderly; assist with storage and movement of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures; provide vacation and temporary relief as required.
