Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring for a full-time Sterile Processing Aide at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. The shift runs 11:00pm–7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior sterile processing experience is preferred; CRCST and CFER certifications are required.

Qualifications

• CRCST Certification is required.
• CFER Certification is required.
• Associates Degree in related Healthcare field preferred; college courses/experience may substitute.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift greater than 50 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Operates sterilizers, washers, and related equipment with attention to safety and quality.
• Prepares packages and labelings according to standards; uses central system for tracking.
• Maintains cleanliness of sterilizers, work areas, and equipment.
• Ensures proper handling of instrument trays and case carts for distribution.
• Reports damaged materials to supervisor and participates in quality checks.
