Job summary

UPMC Cole is hiring a full-time Staff RN for the 3 Main Acute Care department. This night shift role runs 7p–7a with off-shift coverage as needed, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. The nurse provides comprehensive care, mentors staff, and supports discharge planning.

Responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring patient safety and comfort across PACU, ICU, SPU, OB units as assigned. Sign-on bonuses apply per experience level.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required and BLS/CPR certifications.
• Experience in acute care and telemetry preferred.
• Ability to participate in weekend/holiday rotation as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient condition and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and supervise care.
• Telemetry monitoring in ICU when floated.
• Hourly rounding and patient safety monitoring.
