Rutgers University Correctional Healthcare seeks a Full Time UCHC Staff Nurse for Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton, NJ. The role provides nursing care centered on ambulatory needs, working with health teams and security within a correctional setting.

The position requires NJ RN licensure, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Preference is given to BSN holders; experience in correctional facilities is valued. Onsite, 40 hours weekly, night shift, union: HPAE 5089.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and RN licensed in New Jersey.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in a correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to inmate-patients across adults and geriatrics.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and security officers in a correctional environment.
• Promote a safe healthcare environment and apply the nursing process.
• Respond to medical emergencies and document clinical care.
