Job summary

Silgan Containers Mfg Corp in Burlington, IA is seeking a Spray Machine Operator to support our manufacturing line. You will monitor the spray system, perform basic maintenance, and ensure film weight and appearance meet quality standards.

Starting pay is $23.79 per hour with a $1 shift differential for the 6 PM – 6 AM shift. We offer robust benefits, 401k with employer match, 2 weeks of vacation and 10 paid holidays, and opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor spray system performance and adjust for proper film weights and appearance.
• Perform minor maintenance on spray machine pumps and guns.
• Handle hazardous materials and wastes safely.
• Notify supervisors of recurring equipment malfunctions or poor materials.
• Conduct quality checks and adjust machines as needed.
• Document out-of-gate/spec conditions and record material usage.
