Job summary

Pride Health in Clifton, NJ is hiring a Specimen Technician for the 3rd shift (M-F, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM) at our client's healthcare facility.

The role involves sorting and receiving specimens, maintaining equipment, performing QA/QC, and ensuring proper lab procedures. High school diploma required; medical assistant training helpful. Local contract for about 3 months with pay $20–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant training helpful.
• Math and science courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, receive specimens in the department.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance.
• Centrifuge specimens, label printing, data recording.
• Prepare reagents/media for testing.
• Prep specimens at workstations (aliquoting, checking for clots).
• Execute QA/QC duties as assigned.
• Resolve pending lists and find missing samples.
• Decontaminate work areas and perform weekly wipe tests.
