Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Specimen Technician I for the Gaithersburg, MD area, working Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM. This role supports data entry, specimen processing, and preparation for laboratory analysis in a production-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required, but production/medical environment preferred.
• Must be flexible for mainly night shift with weekends/holidays/overtime possible.

Responsibilities

• Enter test orders and data into the system.
• Presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the lab; centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Identify issues with specimen types or missing information and resolve where possible.
• Understand relationship between ordered tests and received specimens.
