Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist for night shifts (Sunday-Wednesday, 9:00p-7:00a, four 10-hour shifts) with no call or holiday rotation. The role performs routine and advanced ultrasound procedures and supports WellSpan Medical Group/Maternal Fetal Medicine in patient care and diagnostics.

Responsibilities include performing a wide range of ultrasound exams, coordinating cases, ensuring patient safety during transfers, and maintaining equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Accredited program in ultrasound technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric and gynecology ultrasound scans, small parts and neonatal head scans, vascular exams, and assists with interventional procedures.
• Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
• Positions and transfers patients safely and explains the procedure.
• Selects technical factors and operates equipment for required exams.
• Maintains and performs preventive maintenance on equipment; coordinates service when needed.
• Documents procedures and uses PACS for image storage and retrieval.
• Direct patients to rooms and obtains vitals as part of WellSpan Medical Group/Maternal Fetal Medicine duties.
