Job summary

The GreenFields Continuing Care Community in East Lancaster, NY is seeking a part-time Skilled Maintenance Technician to support our senior living and assisted living residents during a 11:00pm–7:00am shift. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain building systems, perform preventive tasks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to deliver a comfortable, safe living environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a NY driver’s license, and physical ability to

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in Maintenance.
• High school/Technical school or equivalent.
• Valid New York State Driver’s license.
• Must submit to and pass a yearly physical examination.
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fill out incident reports.
• Room set up per direction.
• Perform minor electrical repairs.
• Knowledge of elevators and resetting when trapped.
• Anchor objects and paint walls/doors/equipment.
• Repair drains, faucets, toilets.
• Know fire panel.
• Follow orders with good judgment.
• Maintain equipment with hand/power tools.
• Shovel snow.
• Complete work orders timely and with quality.
• Make rounds as directed.
• Notify Department Head & Executive Director as needed.
• Assist contractors working in building.
• Adhere to dress code and attendance policies.
• Follow safety procedures.
