Job summary

Pacific West Site Services, Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in New York to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments, and to prepare items for shipment according to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling deliveries, receiving freight, checking for damages, verifying items with PO, and maintaining inventory records. Basic computer skills are required and the role may involve lifting up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: High School diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license.
• Fork Lift certification may be required.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor deliveries.
• Receive and unload freight manually or with pallet jacks.
• Measure and record daily volume of mail and packages.
• Check for damaged goods and verify quantity and quality.
• Verify items received with PO and transfer materials as needed.
• Wrap packages and ship supplies.
• Maintain inventory records and materials.
• Perform computer functions to track goods.
