Job summary

DoubleTree Salt Lake City is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to ensure guest, employee, and property safety around the clock. You will perform patrols, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents while upholding hospitality standards.

The role requires calm decision-making under pressure, clear communication, and a professional demeanor. Graveyard shift Thu-Sat 11 PM–7 AM, with training and collaboration with local responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree or High School Diploma with related experience.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all hotel areas including guest floors, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and parking lots.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control points.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and document actions taken.
• Assist guests and employees with safety concerns or escorts when needed.
• Enforce hotel policies while maintaining professionalism and hospitality.
• Complete detailed incident and shift reports.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.
• Conduct routine safety inspections (fire extinguishers, doors, lighting, etc.).
• Support loss prevention efforts and investigate suspicious activity.
• Participate in safety drills and ongoing training sessions.
