Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to join our on-site night-shift team in New York, NY. You will be the visible security presence across our medical and academic campuses, protecting patients, visitors and staff while ensuring access control and rapid emergency response.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BCLS certification within 90 days of starting. On-site work is required with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible front line security presence across our Hospital and protect patients, visitors, employees and property.
• Maintain access control in assigned areas and respond to emergency situations.
• Help maintain a lawful environment for lifesaving care.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor\'s degree / military experience / 2 years college in criminal justice

Current NYS Security Guard License

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
