Job summary

Guardian Security Services is seeking dependable Security Officers for overnight coverage in Evanston from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM at $19.25 per hour. You will monitor entry points, respond to safety concerns, and complete incident reports while maintaining a courteous, secure environment throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in all situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a High School Diploma/GED
• Must have a valid PERC or be willing to apply for one.
• Must have a 20-hour training certificate or complete within 30 days.
• CPR and AED certification must be current or completed during onboarding.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Maintain professional grooming and image.
• Must have mature demeanor and positive attitude.
• Strong customer service and public relations skills.
• Must have a working telephone at all times.

Responsibilities

• Access monitoring — Verify authorized entry to the property.
• Address safety concerns promptly and respond to disturbances.
• Complete accurate incident reports for notable events or emergencies.
• Provide courteous assistance and support a welcoming community atmosphere.
• Enforce community standards and policy compliance.
• Assist with emergencies following established protocols.
• Maintain a strong security presence to deter misconduct.
• Report significant issues to site leadership and communicate clearly.
