Job summary

Harvard Protection Services seeks Security Officers to deliver professional, customer-focused security and life safety services at client sites in Philadelphia. Officers greet, monitor, patrol, and enforce building policies while maintaining safety and reporting incidents.

Responsibilities include secure access control, alarm monitoring, incident documentation, and emergency response. A license and High School diploma are required; on-the-job training and equal opportunity employment are

Qualifications

• State or municipality security officer license required or able to obtain.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication and professional appearance.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service helpful.
• Ability to write routine logs and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor the environment and detect suspicious activity.
• Control building access and monitor entrances/exits.
• Perform patrols on foot or by vehicle.
• Prepare reports on accidents and incidents as directed.
• Respond to emergencies following established action plans.
