Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Specialty Care Transport (SCT) Nurse to provide essential care during transport between facilities, assess needs, and lead a multidisciplinary team toward safe, patient-centered outcomes.

The role is part-time, per diem, on-site in Voorhees, NJ with a night shift. Benefis include medical, dental, vision, 403(b)/retirement plans, PTO, disability coverage, tuition assistance, and employee support services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; RN license required in NJ.
• Experience in Emergency or Critical Care settings preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required; EMT certification current.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and provide treatment per protocols during transports.
• Lead a multidisciplinary care team as crew leader.
• Document assessments, treatments, responses, and transfers accurately.
• Ensure equipment and vehicle readiness and safety checks at shift start.
• Maintain and safeguard Virtua-owned equipment; comply with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to quality assurance requests and adapt to changing situations.
