Job summary

Herbruck's in Kendallville, IN is hiring for a Sanitation I. This full-time hourly role cleans and sanitizes processing equipment nightly to meet USDA guidelines and our quality standards. You will follow SOPs, operate washers, power washers, air compressors, and chemicals safely, and support sanitation checklists.

Ideal candidates are 18+, ready to work weekends/holidays, and able to stand/walk on concrete floors while lifting up to 30 lbs. No animal contact required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, goats, sheep, cattle, or unprocessed eggs.

Responsibilities

• Perform and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures
• Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble parts from equipment
• Perform all functions in accordance with sound safety practices and procedures
• Use and operate a power washer adhering to the manufacturer's safe operation guidelines
• Use chemicals adhering to the manufacturer's safe operation guidelines
• Use and operate an air compressor to clean equipment.
• Follow assigned cleaning and sanitizing checklist.
• Perform any/all other duties assigned to you
