Job summary

GDI in Warren, MI seeks a dedicated sanitation/housekeeping team member to clean production equipment and facilities, foaming and sanitizing per procedures while following GMP and safety rules. The schedule is structured with early morning and overnight shifts and weekend adjustments, requiring reliable transportation.

You will work with a team to maintain clean production surfaces, restrooms, breakrooms, and related areas, upholding food safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation or housekeeping is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with good judgment.
• High integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Foaming and scrubbing production equipment and facilities per procedures.
• Use pre-mixed cleaners to sanitize and return production areas to operation.
• Sanitize all surfaces after cleaning for production runs.
• Perform interior cleaning of production and non-production areas.
• Self-check work before pre-op inspection.
• Assist in pre-operation inspections of equipment after cleaning.
• Maintain a safe, food-safe environment through teamwork and training.
• Sanitize restrooms, breakrooms and cafeterias.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Work with team to ensure clean production surfaces.
• Assist teammates on food production line as needed.
• Follow GMP protocols.
• Lockout equipment being worked on.
• Wear provided PPE as directed.
