Job summary

Sigma is seeking a Technician Sanitation General to clean, sanitize, and maintain production and common areas in a food manufacturing environment.

This 3rd shift position runs roughly from 10:30pm to 7:30am, with responsibilities including cleaning equipment, floors, drains, and restrooms, and maintaining sanitation records. You will follow procedures, handle chemicals safely, and support a safe, clean plant.

Qualifications

• Learn and follow sanitation procedures.
• Safely use chemicals in food manufacturing environments.
• Learn proper waste disposal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, tools, footbaths, drains, and other work spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for materials used in production areas.
• Foam, scrub, and rinse production floors, common areas, and restrooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness of offices and facility common areas.
• Track and update sanitation logs and cleaning records.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and request replenishment as needed.
• Maintain inventory of PPE, chemicals, paper products, soap, trash bags, and other sanitation supplies.
• Follow established sanitation, safety, and food manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
