Job summary

SunOpta in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to lead plantwide cleaning and training efforts on a night shift (6pm–6:30am). You will supervise CIP tasks, audit cleaning tools and PPE usage, and ensure GMP, HACCP and SQF compliance across filler and downline lines.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coaching operators, and preparing CIP materials. Pay rate starts at $30/hour with a shift differential; full benefits available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of filler machines and downline equipment.
• Experience with raw, mixing, receiving, and extraction processes.
• Must be scissor lift certified and able to operate a floor scrubber.
• English literacy and basic math skills.
• Ability to work night shift in a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Train operators on cleaning and inspection of filler and downline equipment.
• Lead shift huddles and organize cleaning tasks during CIP.
• Audit cleaning tools/chemicals and train on PPE and chemical usage.
• Perform CIP validation and pest control tasks.
• Maintain logs for CIP, MSS, peroxide and ensure cleanliness.
