Job summary

Qualifications

• The role requires a high school diploma or GED with food safety training preferred.
• 3–5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or USDA-inspected facility.
• Experience with deep cleaning of food-processing equipment and production environments.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, environmental monitoring, and sanitation verification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily sanitation and scheduled deep-cleaning activities.
• Ensure cleaning of equipment, production areas, floors, drains, and surfaces.
• Develop and maintain cleaning schedules based on production needs.
• Verify cleaning effectiveness through visual checks, ATP testing, and other methods.
• Identify sanitation deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed.
