Job summary

SunOpta, Inc. in Midlothian, TX is hiring a Sanitation Specialist to lead plantwide cleaning, training and sanitation tasks. This night-shift position (6pm–6:30am) operates on a 2-2-3 pattern with a $30.00/hour pay rate plus a $2.00/hour shift differential.

You will train operators on cleaning filler and downline equipment, perform CIP and MSS tasks, maintain GMP/SQF standards, and support continual housekeeping and safety programs across multiple lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of filler machines and downline equipment.
• Must be scissor lift certified.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Train operators on how to properly clean filler and downline equipment and inspect and audit.
• Lead shift huddles for filler and downline ops to organize cleaning tasks.
• Audit cleaning tools and chemicals and train others in PPE and chemical usage.
• Facilitate MSS plantwide for operations/production.
• Assist and train operators on CIP and related tasks.
• Maintain logs and SOPs for cleaning functions.
