Job summary

Crosby’s Stores is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences during shifts while keeping a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. The role supports sales and profitability with a focus on service, accuracy, and teamwork.

Typical duties include handling cash, promoting rewards, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store standards. Overnight shifts include a $1.50 differential; 18+ and basic math skills are required, along with reliability and a customer-first

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 18 years or older required.
• Proficient in basic math to handle cash transactions, shift reports and vendor check-ins.
• Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification.
• Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point of sale systems, and other equipment.
• Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service to every customer.
• Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items following company recipes and standards.
• Promote My Crosby’s Rewards and assist customers with enrollment and offers.
• Suggest additional items at checkout to enhance customer experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Demonstrate company values: Honesty, Trust, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Stay up to date on company operations and expectations.
• Work scheduled shifts and follow dress code guidelines.
• Report any issues related to sales, pricing, or store operations.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and elevate when needed.
• Balance and report register activity at the end of each shift.
• Report any cash discrepancies over $5.00.
