Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our patient-care team. You will assess, diagnose and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, assist in bronchoscopy, manage ventilators and perform advanced airway care.

NICU duties include surfactant delivery, intubation support, high-risk delivery attendance, nitric oxide delivery, and related procedures. Night shifts and career development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

Associate degree in respiratory therapy required.
NBRC-registered respiratory therapist credentials.
State licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM.
BLS certification.
ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
6–12 months CCU/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures and monitor sedation as needed.
Initiate ventilator protocols and coordinate ventilator management.
Perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation and intubation.
Operate high-frequency ventilators and related equipment.
In NICU roles, deliver surfactant, assist intubations and attend high-risk deliveries.
Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery.
