The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic adjustments.
• Comfort around industrial machinery, heat, and high-voltage equipment.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods; willing to work a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery and furnace-related equipment.
• Maintain furnace melting rates, temperatures, oxygen content, and molten metal levels.
• Perform routine checks of burners, tap holes, spouts, launders, holding furnaces, hoses, and lines.
• Identify equipment or process issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and replace or repair parts as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning on assigned equipment and keep records.
• Calibrate and monitor equipment such as CO analyzers as required.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
