Responsibilities

• Conducts high quality shift huddles communicating priorities and progress.
• Leads safety and environmental rounds and ensures rounding by RN and patients.
• Rounds on staff to remove barriers to quality care and engage staff.
• Reviews unit metrics and participates in action planning for improvements.
• Participates in drills/trainings for emergency and safety preparedness.
• Supports unit-based quality improvement and strategic outcomes.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families and resolves concerns.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for smooth patient discharge.
• Forecasts staffing and supply needs and participates in hires.
