Job summary

LBH Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Orthopedics Med-Surg unit on a 13-week contract. The role involves care for general medical and post-operative patients, with orthopedic post-op experience preferred and basic EKG familiarity.

Schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with mandatory weekends and major holidays. Active Maryland RN license, ACLS and BLS are required; unit staffing may require float to similar units.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience is required.
• Experience caring for both general medical and post-operative surgical patients is needed.
• Orthopedic/post-joint replacement experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to surgical and general medical patients.
• Adhere to patient ratios of 1:5, or 1:6 as needed.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.
• Document patient interactions and care using Cerner charting.
• Float to similar units as needed to meet facility needs.
