Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Registered Nurse for the 4700 Surgical Oncology inpatient unit. You will provide professional nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients across head & neck, cardiothoracic, breast, GI, GYN, urology, vascular and plastics services.

The role offers 12-hour night shifts, orientation through the DUHS Nurse Residency Program, and opportunities to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete within five years.
• Nurses must obtain North Carolina nursing licensure within 90 days of start date.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care per NC board standards.
• Assist in policy development and implementation.
• Provide guidance to nursing staff and act as team leader for patient groups.
• Collect and analyze patient data and develop care plans.
