Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead the unit's nursing operations, ensuring supervision and 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of leadership.

The role centers on coordinating patient care for a defined population and maintaining high standards of practice. Responsibilities include staff supervision, patient rounds, prioritizing care, and acting as a liaison between patients, families, staff, and physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
• Performs duties of Staff RN for a specific patient population.
• Makes staffing assignments based on acuity and competence.
• Conducts patient rounds and prioritizes care.
• Supervises staff orientation, training, counseling, and evaluation.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care.
