Job summary

The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an RN Supervisor to join our 150-bed facility. This full-time night-shift role provides clinical leadership, oversight of nursing staff, and coordination of care to ensure resident safety and quality outcomes.

You will supervise nursing activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate with physicians and families. The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in NJ.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, residents, families, and regulators.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
