Job summary

IdealHire Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a Stepdown/Observation unit in Knoxville, TN. The contract includes nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3x12-hour shift pattern, with every other weekend required.

You will care for patients on a Complex Medical Unit, monitor dysrhythmias, and document using Cerner EMR. The ideal candidate holds an active Tennessee or Compact RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active TN RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submittal)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Must be available every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Complex Medical / Stepdown unit in an acute care setting
• Manage a patient assignment with ratios that typically run 1:6
• Perform and interpret basic dysrhythmia readings and pass related tests during orientation
• Document all patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient safety and outcomes
