Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sanford Health provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process in collaboration with families and the inter-disciplinary team. He/she plans, implements and evaluates care to support resident well-being.

Care extends across preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis and treatment, with coordination of care and resident education. The nurse may supervise delegates to ensure safe, quality outcomes and adhere to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice or multi-state license when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for residents.
• Coordinate care with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team.
• Educate residents and families about care plans and health maintenance.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff as needed.
• Ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care in compliance with standards.
