Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies related to medication safety and order writing format.
• Answers patient and family calls, evaluates needs, and triages care.
• Anticipates and intervenes for patient and staff safety concerns.
• Consistently meets work schedule and demonstrates therapeutic communication.
• Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physicians, and other institutions.
• Delegates appropriately and supports a collaborative team environment.
• Uses nursing process for critical thinking and care planning.
• Develops and evaluates plans of care adapting to patient changes.
• Performs comprehensive assessments and provides effective patient care.
• Administers chemotherapy, blood components, fluids and other oncology treatments as prescribed.
• Provides patient/family education and seeks ongoing learning experiences.
