Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care Group in Independence, MO is hiring an experienced RN for our Sunterra Springs unit. This PT/FT nursing rehab role covers NOC and rotating weekends, caring for about 19 residents with IVs, wounds, assessments, discharges, admissions and medications. A $1500 sign-on bonus is offered for the NOC shift.

The position requires MO RN licensure, a 4-year nursing degree, and strong clinical and interdisciplinary teamwork skills in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Missouri.
• Demonstrate clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills.
• Able to relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with others, including employees, residents, family members, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations.
• Positive attitude and desire to work with the aging population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to a group of residents in a nursing unit.
• Assess resident needs and develop individual care plans.
• Administer nursing care and supervise CNAs and other personnel.
• Handle medications, IVs, wounds, discharges, admissions, and related tasks.
