Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Orthopedic unit (2GPU). The position is a full-time, midnight shift on a 36-hour weekly schedule, based in Detroit, MI.

BSN preferred with graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Michigan RN licensure. The unit handles diverse surgical cases, offering opportunities to develop advanced nursing skills and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality compassionate patient care.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Acts as a patient advocate while planning, delivering and evaluating patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• 2GPU is a post-surgical unit focused on Orthopedic surgery patients.
• Care includes patients from PACU after various surgeries and ED admissions.
• Hone and expand nursing skills through diverse patient population.
