Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking a night shift, full-time Patient Logistics Supervisor RN in Tyler, TX. This role leads the Patient Logistics Center, coordinating staff and transfer activities to ensure smooth patient movement and hospital throughput.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree and active RN licensure in a compact state, with 3+ years in acute care and prior supervisory experience. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in a nursing compact licensure participating state.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• 3+ years of clinical experience in acute care with progressive supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree; experience in transfer center/ bed placement.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the Patient Logistics Center functions are maintained during all operation hours; oversees staff and processes.
• Collaborates with the Regional Director, hospital departments, physicians and leadership to foster referrals and transfers.
• Identifies, trends, reports, and overcomes barriers to patient throughput and transfer processes.
