Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a Night Shift, PRN Nursing Administration Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor in Tyler, TX to oversee clinical services and ensure safe, high-quality patient care across units.

The Hospital Supervisor provides on-site leadership in the absence of the Department Manager, coordinates nursing personnel, and ensures appropriate care in alignment with age-specific needs and department policies.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license to practice nursing.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Experience in nursing administration or supervisory roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the organization and administration of clinical services to ensure competent patient care delivery.
• Direct and supervise all hospital activities in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Coordinate the placement of nursing personnel on all units to ensure safe, quality care with appropriate utilization of staff.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and provide care appropriate to age-specific needs.
• Serve as a resource to all hospital areas and assume first-line management responsibilities for hospital services.
