Job summary

Frederick Health's Observation Unit is seeking a registered nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process, provide leadership and teaching, and participate in continuous quality improvement. You will assess patients, document responses, and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans of care.

The part-time night shift (7p–7:30a) with weekend/holiday rotation requires flexible scheduling and strong collaboration with licensed providers who monitor patients 24/7.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• CPR certification and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses clearly and timely.
• Collaborate with the health care team to adjust plan of care as patient condition evolves.
• Demonstrate leadership and engage in staff development and education.
