Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care on a 24-hour night shift. The role involves coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, communicating changes in patient conditions, and delivering age-appropriate nursing across the life span.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with CT licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications (or within orientation), and must pass the NCLEX within 90 days if a new graduate.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within orientation period; maintain competency during employment.
• New graduates must pass NCLEX within 90 days of graduation date.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide high quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.
• Coordinates patient care by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicates the patient’s clinical condition promptly and accurately, responding to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care across the life span.
• Promotes the profession of nursing through collegial support and interactions; reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
