Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse on 2 East Neuro, our 21-bed Med/Surg/Stroke unit. This FT Night shift (36 hours) offers a $20,000 sign-on for experienced nurses or $7,500 for new grads and opportunities to become NIHSS certified.

As a bedside RN you assess/admit patients, perform rounds, administer medications, communicate with families, and ensure high quality care with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days for relevant units; PALS where applicable.
• New grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assess/admit patients and perform rounding checks.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Communicate with families and coordinate care with the team.
• Maintain high-quality, compassionate patient care on a neuro/stroke unit.
