Job summary

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham, IL. The full-time night-shift role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting patient education and discharge planning.

Minimum requirements include graduating from an approved nursing program and RN licensure; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program and be eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Licensed RN in state of practice is required; Nurse Licensure Compact may apply in some states.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
• Promotes and restores patients’ health by applying the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervises assigned team members and educates patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care.
