Required: nursing degree from an accredited program, PA RN license, BLS; preferred BSN and 1 year in clinical specialty. Professional development and ongoing certification may be supported.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.
• Uses the nursing process to collaborate with patients, families, and health care team to individualize patient care.
• Directs nursing support staff in providing patient care per standards of nursing practice and departmental policies.
• Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.
