Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN night coverage (7pm–7am) in the Critical Care/Telemetry complex. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care with guidance from the Nurse Manager and Director.

The RN may work across settings within Riverside Health System and supervise non-professional staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year RN experience required.
• BSN preferred.
• Virginia RN license required (VDHP).
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop care plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care.
• Educate patients and families and provide discharge education.
• Document clinical care and quality measures per RHS standards.
• Delegate tasks and prioritize care to ensure patient safety.
• Respond to emergencies and support patient throughput.
