Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks Registered Nurse candidates for the Med/Surg Oncology department to work full-time nights. You will provide direct patient care, collect comprehensive data, advocate for patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment and smooth care transitions during the stay.

Candidates must hold an RN license with at least one year of RN experience (acute care not required).

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required (Does not need to be in acute care).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Admin must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
