Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the night shift (7pm-7am) care team in Richardson, TX. The RN will deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process and support the hospital’s mission and goals.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited nursing degree and Texas license (or eligibility) with at least 12 months of RN experience and BLS certification. We value teamwork, safety, and high-quality patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment using communication skills and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/ significant other education process.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients, and family members and ensures understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
