Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a compassionate RN to join the Med Surg team on a part-time basis. You will provide high-quality care to patients with acute, chronic, or terminal illnesses.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning and delegation, team collaboration, and participation in education and research activities. Supervision of students and adherence to regulatory standards are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri state license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• For PRN: at least one year of medical/surgical experience or one year in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Comply with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and regulations.
