Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Med Surg 5 North team. This full-time role offers a 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM schedule, 36 hours per week, at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.

You will assess patients, plan and deliver nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in committees, education, and research to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS certification.
• For PRN positions: at least one year of medical/surgical experience or one year in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on their diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care using expert skills.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research, and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Stay compliant with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational/regulatory requirements.
