Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a registered nurse to perform competent care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, and health promotion, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and quality outcomes.

The position requires an ADN/BSN/MSN, a valid RN license to practice in Virginia, and current ACLS/BLS/NIHSS. At least two years of recent MED/SURG/IMCU bedside experience and EPIC systems proficiency are

Qualifications

• RN degree required (ADN, BSN or MSN).
• Valid RN license to practice in Virginia.
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS current required.
• Minimum 2 years bedside RN experience in MED/SURG and IMCU.
• EPIC documentation system experience required.
• Meet and maintain any specialty-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process.
• Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation.
• Meet standards of professional nursing performance including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Apply clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas.
• Work in the hospital resource pool on night shifts.
