Job summary

Ascension Seton Northwest in Austin, TX, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Med Surg unit on the night shift. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate multi-disciplinary care, and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The role requires RN licensure and a Diploma in nursing, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
