Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate RN/LPN to supervise daily nursing activities and ensure high-quality care for residents. You will administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the care team in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a valid RN or LPN license in the state of employment and the ability to work varied shifts, including potential weekends and overtime. Join our dedicated team to support residents’ health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

Must hold a current and valid RN/LPN license in the state employed.
Long term care/post-acute care setting preferred.
Completion of postsecondary education.
Capable of maintaining regular attendance (weekends and overtime) as required.

Responsibilities

Direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Assistants in accordance with regulations.
Assist in planning the nursing services portion of residents' discharge plans.
Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
Chart nurses’ notes reflecting care provided and residents’ responses.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary.
Ensure narcotics handling complies with regulations and accurate narcotic records.
Make daily rounds to ensure staff perform their duties.
Notify attending physicians and next-of-kin when conditions change or incidents occur.
Attend and participate in center in-service programs.
